On Being Me.

The track that I've called home for almost 3 and a half years now.

2 Days to race day.

I find myself, oddly calm.

I mean I still think and visualise a lot about what could happen over the weekend, as well as know what it could mean, but strangely I’m not worried or anxious at all.

I know I’ve put in the hard work, the past 15 weeks of training itself has been a test for me. And I feel for the state I’m in, I’m as ready as I can be.

I’m fit, I’m healthy and I’ve prepared, what more can I ask for?

Maybe it’s also because my thinking has matured. I’m no longer that kid with a chip on the knee trying desperately to prove his worth. All I want to do is to go up to the starting line and say to the world:

Here I am.

And in all honesty, this is me expressing me.

And if I can do that without any fear or inhibition, I know I have succeeded already.

England Indoor Combined Events Champs, 7-8th Jan, Day 1 and Day 2 first events 10.30am GMT. Once again will keep my twitter account updated with the latest results, will update this blog after the weekend so drop by if you want to see how I did.

Hope you too are rising up and facing your new year challenges as well.

Let’s all do this.

As you can see, reading Bruce Lee’s philosophy has had a big influnce on me. Thank you Bruce, you are truely legendary.
