Today is a big day.
We’ve actually closed a deal.
Even though psychologically it is a big step, so many small steps have led to this, each one not possible without the last. 3 months of thinking, planning, forming a team, talking to bankers, brokers, mortgage brokers, existing property investors; viewed multiple houses and for the last few nights going through the numbers over and over again.
And then the moment came to pull the trigger.
In truth, I’m still a little shocked/suprised.
You see as much as I want to get into the property market and for the reasons why I think it possibly is a good time to get involved over this side of the world rather than back in Asia, part of me don’t feel I’m ready because I’ve never done it before.
But the thing I’ve learnt from decathlons, is that you will never ever feel fully ready. You just have to pluck up the courage, know that you’ve done what you can with what you have and go for it.
If you wait till you’re 100% ready, you’ll never get started.
‘If you want to learn to swim jump into the water. On dry land no frame of mind is ever going to help you.’ – Bruce Lee
The water’s going to be cold, but heck let’s do it.
