Concentrated Power of Will.

Came back from another session of hurdles (1m high taken 2 foot in) and pole vault drills. Piece by piece it is coming together now (vid is of my earlier run of the session, still can see the hesitation at the start, crash still playing up in my head).

Learnt how to come off the hurdles properly, and this is done by being patient, waiting for the lead leg to strike the ground first before extending out the body. Once again this is one of the counter intuitive things in life, because instead of trying to run faster immediately off the hurdle, you have to be patient and wait after the hurdle to go faster.

Yet another baby step forward for this event, next one would be to be in the correct attacking position for the hurdles. So it’s this and another 9 events to piece together.

5 more weeks to Woodford Green Combine Events Competition 2011.

Focus.

This is 10 percent luck, 20 percent skill
15 percent concentrated power of will
5 percent pleasure, 50 percent pain
And a 100 percent reason to remember the name.

Decatan.
