Just a quick update for this one.

I’ve just switched over to using the domain name so that it is easier for everyone to access the blog. Some people have asked me what Decatan actually means. Well decathletes (especially the American ones) tend to label themselves deca (representing decathlete) followed by their last name, and thus for me it would be Decatan.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support and kind messages that you have left for me, especially after the first series of post about how and why I chose to be a decathlete. (For those who haven’t read it and wish to, click here.) It’s not always the easiest thing to get through trainings such as running 300s and 400s when you’re tired already, but every message does give me the strength to push on that little bit further, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much.

Looking ahead for this blog, I will to continue to update it with my progress of trainings and competitions running up to my next decathlon in May. Also I would continue to write articles about sports, health and fitness training viewed from my Sports Science background and introduce some of the awesome people I meet along the way.

I just got back to Loughborough from a wonderful 9 day trip back to Singapore and I definitely would be blogging about that soon so keep a lookout for that.
